Experienced Sailmaker / Sail Repair Technician
GP Sails – Warsash, Hampshire
Full-time renumeration based on experience
About Us
GP Sails is one of the UK's leading sail service and repair lofts, with an excellent reputation throughout the marine industry as the "sailmaker's sailmaker". We work on everything from cruising and racing sails to large-scale repair and refurbishment projects.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Sailmaker to join our team in Warsash.
The Role
This position will primarily focus on:
- Sail servicing and repairs
- Alterations and recuts
- UV strip replacement and canvas work
- Inspection and maintenance of cruising and racing sails
- Customer interaction and providing technical advice
- Supporting loft operations and maintaining high workmanship standards

About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has 5+ years of sailmaking experience
- Is experienced in sail repairs and servicing
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a small, friendly team
- Experience with both cruising and racing sails would be advantageous.

Based at our loft in Warsash, Hampshire, ideally suited to someone with a passion for sailing and craftsmanship.
