Ready to lead a busy transport operation where no two days are the same?
We’re looking for a confident and people-focused Transport Team Manager to join our Greenford team and help keep our customer network moving safely, efficiently and brilliantly.
Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day transport activity, support your team to perform at their best, and make sure we consistently deliver the service our customer expects.
Shift pattern: 06:00 to 18:00hrs, 4 days on / 4 days off, 42.46 hours per week
Salary: £31,000-32,000.00 pa
Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced transport professional who enjoys leading from the front, solving problems in real time and creating a safe, positive and high-performing working environment.
You’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting continuous improvement and helping shape a culture built on safety, teamwork and great service.
How will you contribute?
- Lead the shift performance of the transport operation, ensuring service levels are consistently achieved for the customer network.
- Manage all transport shift activity to deliver against budgetary, financial, legislative, procedural and contractual commitments.
- Champion continuous improvement and support best-in-class ways of working in line with PCDR objectives.
- Be accountable for health and safety standards across your area of responsibility, with a strong focus on transport shift operations.
- Ensure the operation runs in line with company and customer procedures, maintaining high standards at all times.
- Identify and escalate issues promptly, following agreed procedures and supporting swift resolution.
- Help drive the site culture programme, encouraging engagement, accountability and teamwork.
- Support business continuity planning and testing to help the operation respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate and reliable reporting across transport activity, giving leaders the insight they need to make decisions.
- Recruit, develop, motivate and support direct reports so they can perform confidently and grow in their roles.

We’re looking for someone who brings energy, sound judgement and a genuine passion for leading people in a fast-paced transport environment.

You’ll ideally have experience in a similar transport or logistics leadership role.
You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-critical operation where priorities can change quickly.
You’ll be confident using Microsoft packages and working with operational data and reports.
You’ll have a strong understanding of driver compliance and the importance of maintaining safe, legal and efficient transport operations.
