Background
This practice offers something rare in general practice. Total triage puts you in full control of your day, and on Duty Days the Partners cover the first two hours, allowing a 10am start for the GP on call. It is the kind of structure a lot of GPs can only wish for. Read on to find out more.
Location
The practice is set on the North Cornwall coast, within easy reach of Wadebridge (around 15 minutes by car), Bodmin (around 25 minutes) and Newquay (around 40 minutes). The area is known for its coastline, beaches and relaxed pace of life, making it a popular choice for GPs looking for a genuine work life balance outside the city.
The Practice
- GP Training Practice with three Trainers, offering strong mentorship support
- Traditional Cornish demographic and setting
- Regular team meetings with rotating topics
- Low home visiting rate
- Paramedic support for same day patients
- EMIS Web practice
Your Role
- Salaried GP, 6 sessions per week
- Manageable workload of around 25 patients per day, 15-minute appointments
- Own patient list for continuity of care
- Flexible start and finish times
- Total triage approach giving you full control of your day
- 10am start on Duty Days, with Partners covering the first two hours
- No evenings or weekends
- Scope to develop special interests, particularly frailty, women’s health or joint injections
