Background
This is a rare opportunity to join a practice partway through a genuine turnaround, working closely with the incoming Partner, a co-founder of one of the UK’s largest GP group practices, as they reshape how the team operates. For a Salaried GP who wants accelerated exposure to change, leadership and complex clinical decision-making, this kind of hands-on experience is difficult to find elsewhere.
Location
The practice is based near Witney, Oxfordshire, in a rural and semi-rural setting with a stable and generally affluent patient population. Witney itself is around 10 minutes away, with Oxford roughly 30 minutes by car and Swindon a similar distance in the other direction, making the practice accessible for candidates commuting from a wide catchment area.
The Practice
- GP Training Practice, with scope to build teaching and research capability further.
- Large, modern purpose-built health centre with substantial room for future growth.
- Broad multidisciplinary team including on-site district nursing, ANPs, paramedics and healthcare assistants.
- Mid-sized practice serving a stable and generally affluent patient population.
- Rated Good by the CQC across all inspected domains.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
