Locum General Practitioner – GP Training Practice Role
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work in a forward-thinking, supportive GP Training Practice located in the scenic Malvern Hills.
Key Highlights
- Exceptionally low clinical workload, with adherence to BMA safe-working guidance:
- Max 25 patient contacts/day (15-minute appointments)
- Average 1 home visit per week per GP
- Light duty day, averaging 10–30 patient contacts
- Administrative support:
- 2 admin sessions/month for GPs working 5+ sessions
- 1 admin session/month for GPs working 4 sessions or less
- 20-minute appointments available on the duty doctor day
- $10,100 – $11,000+ per session, plus indemnity paid, 6 weeks leave, and 1-week study leave

- Forward-thinking general practice on the outskirts of the Malvern Hills
- GP Training Practice with low locum usage and strong staff retention
- Supports a tight-knit team with multiple advanced clinical roles (Advanced Nurse Practitioners, PAs, Pharmacists, etc.)
- Rated CQC Good across all domains
- Registered under GMS contract

Your Role
- 4–6 sessions per week
- 1–2 monthly administrative sessions
- Daily morning coffee break
- Very reasonable load: 25 patient contacts per day (15-minute appointments)
- Low administrative burden
- Minor home visits (average 1/week per GP)
- 20-minute appointments for duty doctor shifts
- Uses the EMIS Clinical system
Requirements
- Must be a qualified General Practitioner
- Registered with the GMC and the UK Performers List
Salary & Benefits
- £80,800 – £99,000 (full-time equivalent)
- Indemnity fees paid
- 6 weeks’ annual leave
- 1-week study leave
- NHS pension
