Background

This is a unique opportunity to work in a forward-thinking, supportive, GP Training practice in the idyllic backdrop of the Malvern Hills.

The clinical workload is exceptionally light as BMA safe-working guidance is followed, meaning you’ll never see more than 25 patient contacts in a regular day (15-minute appointments). The Practice is light on regular home visits, averaging 1 per week per GP, and the duty day is also unusually light with an average number of patient contacts ranging between 10-30 per day. The Practice also offers 2 administrative sessions per month for GPs working 5+ sessions, or 1 administrative session for GPs working 4 sessions or less.

You’ll also benefit from 20-minute appointments on the Duty Doctor day.

Salary

£10,100 – £11,000+ per session + Indemnity paid + 6 weeks leave + 1-week study leave

Your role

  • 4-6 sessions per week
  • 1-2 monthly administrative sessions
  • Daily coffee break during morning clinic
  • Very reasonable clinical workload of 25 patients per day (15-minute appointments)
  • Low administrative burden
  • Minimal home visits – 1 per week per GP, on average
  • 20-minute appointments for the Duty Doctor
  • Using EMIS Clinical system
  • You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK Performers List
