GP Training Role in Exceptional Training Practice

About the Role

A forward-thinking GP Training Practice offering a genuinely manageable, well-structured workload with outstanding retention rates, robust Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) support, and a clear focus on reducing GP workload. Consistently praised by previous locum GPs.

Salary & Benefits

  • £11,000 – £12,000 per session
  • Standard BMA-equivalent contract
  • NHS pension
  • 6 weeks’ annual leave
  • 1 week study leave
  • Partnership prospects (subject to performance and tenure)

Workload & Structure

  • 4–6 sessions (6 preferred)
  • 12 consulting sessions per day (15-minute appointments)
  • Protected follow-up slots (bookable only by practitioner)
  • Minimal home visits (assigned to dedicated visiting team)
  • Team-based duty (triage GP and F2F GP)
  • No evenings or weekends
  • Buddy system to prevent build-up of admin
