Salaried GP | Slough

Background

This is a practice where clinical time is protected, not squeezed. Twelve-minute appointments, a cap of 14 patients per session and genuinely light admin support mean GPs can focus on patients rather than paperwork. For a Salaried GP looking to build towards Partnership, the role also offers a rare specialist interest opportunity in women’s health, with a genuine route to progression for the right candidate.

Location

The practice is based in Slough, Berkshire, with fast rail links into London Paddington in around 20 minutes and easy road access to Windsor, Maidenhead and Reading, all within a 25-minute commute. The town serves a genuinely diverse patient population, offering broad clinical and cultural experience for a GP who wants variety in their caseload.

The Practice

  • Established GP Training Practice, hosting GP Registrars and Foundation doctors as part of an active education programme
  • A genuine, structured pathway to Partnership, with a six-month route available to GPs who demonstrate leadership and clinical ownership
  • A deliberately flat, anti-hierarchical culture where every member of the multidisciplinary team is valued equally
  • A vacant specialist interest opportunity in women’s health, currently supported by locum and nursing cover, offering a strong platform to lead a service
  • Genuinely light admin, supported by clinical pharmacists and wider clinical support roles
  • A large partnership team and large salaried GP team, serving a large practice
  • Rated Good by the CQC, with an Outstanding rating for the Responsive domain

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
