Background

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and supportive GP surgery with a strong emphasis on continuity of care. The practice combines a traditional cradle-to-grave model with efficient systems designed to reduce GP workload. With a long-standing team and a vacancy arising due to relocation, they are seeking a like-minded GP who values patient relationships, teamwork and flexibility in their working day.

Location

  • Havant, Hampshire
  • Commutable from Waterlooville, Portsmouth and surrounding areas
  • Mixed demographic with a younger, family-oriented population

The Practice

  • Mid-sized practice
  • Partners work offsite, with Salaried GPs heavily involved in how the practice operates
  • Supportive, close-knit team with a non-hierarchical structure
  • Very strong staff retention
  • Highly efficient workflow with a dedicated admin and coding team filtering tasks
  • EMIS clinical system
  • Wide MDT including pharmacy team, ACPs, mental health practitioners and social prescribers
  • Active within the PCN

Your Role

  • Salaried GP, 4 sessions (must include Friday)
  • 14 patients in the morning, 13 in the afternoon
  • Appointment times (10 or 15 minutes) and clinic structure set by the GP
  • Personal list shared with another GP and supported by an ANP
  • Protected admin time built into each session
  • Minimal home visits, with most covered by the PCN team
  • No duty doctor model
  • Opportunity to develop clinical interests
  • You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK Performers List

Salary And Benefits

  • Up to £13,500 per session (DOE)
  • NHS Pension
  • Indemnity covered
  • 6 weeks annual leave
  • 1 week study leave
  • Optional additional sessions via PCN
