About the Role
A genuinely manageable and flexible GP workload.
This is a well-run GP Training Practice in the Ferndown area offering a highly controlled workload, flexible appointment structure, and genuine partnership prospects. With just 27 patients per day, minimal home visits, and extensive MDT support, this role is designed to be both sustainable and professionally rewarding.
Salary & Benefits

- 6 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave
Workload & Structure
- 6 sessions (flexible)
- 27 patients per day total
- 15 morning / 12 afternoon
- Flexible appointments: 10, 12 or 15 minutes, or a mixture of each
- GP-led template – control over how your day is structured
- Admin built into the day with flexibility to complete remotely if needed
- Rare to no home visits – covered by dedicated paramedics and frailty team
- Shared on-call system supported heavily by Advanced Paramedic Practitioner
- Mostly telephone-based with strong clinical triage support
- Approximately 1 day per week
- Minimal enhanced access GP involvement (primarily covered by nurses and paramedics)

Clinical Support
- Advanced Paramedic Practitioner + further Paramedic team
- Dedicated home visiting team, including frailty support
- 2 Clinical Pharmacists + 2 Pharmacy Technicians
- Specialist Nurses and HCAs
- Full PCN MDT, including:
- Social Prescribers
- Care Coordinators
- Digital Coordinators
- Teenage Counsellor
- Significantly reduced GP admin and home visit burden
- Only clinically relevant work reaches GPs
The Practice
- Small but established GP Training Practice with opportunities to get involved in teaching and future research
- CQC rated Good
- Dynamic and proactive Practice Manager driving positive change and improved systems
- Stable and growing clinical team with partnership progression already in motion internally
- Recently renovated Partner-owned premises in a pleasant village location near Bournemouth/Poole
- Collaborative, social team with protected coffee breaks
What They’re Looking For
- A team-focused GP who wants to contribute and shape how the practice develops
- Open to newly qualified GPs
- Interest in areas such as Women’s Health, Minor Surgery or Training welcomed
You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK Performers List
