Salaried GP Position – £12,100 per Session | Minimal Home Visits | Partnership Prospects
About the Role
A well-run GP Training Practice in the Ferndown area seeks a salaried GP with highly attractive prospects and a manageable, flexible workload.
Key Features
- Salaried role with potential to become a Partner
- Only 27 patients per day (flexible intake structure)
- Minimal home visits (primarily managed by a dedicated team)
- Strong Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) support
- Control over daily schedule through a GP-led template

Salary & Benefits

- Salaried GPs progressing to Partnership
- Existing Partners looking to join without buy-in requirements
- 6 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave
Workload & Structure
- 6 flexible sessions per week
- Average daily patient list: 27
- 15 morning slots | 12 afternoon slots
- Flexible appointment lengths (10, 12, or 15 minutes, or a mix)
- GP-led structure to allow autonomy in caseload management
- Integrated admin time (can be completed remotely if preferred)
- Minimal home visits (paramedic and frailty team handle the majority)
- Reduced Enhanced Access burden (handled by nurses and paramedics)
- On-call system supported by an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner
- Majority of calls telephone-based, with strong clinical triage support

Clinical Support
The practice benefits from an extensive MDT, ensuring most non-GP workload is handled by specialised teams:
- Advanced Paramedic Practitioners + supporting paramedic team
- Dedicated home visiting service (including obesity and frailty support)
- 2 Clinical Pharmacists + 2 Pharmacy Technicians
- Specialist Nurses (e.g., Sexual Health, Vaccination)
- HCAs for routine clinical tasks
Full PCN MDT collaboration:
- Social Prescribers
- Care Coordinators
- Digital Coordinators
- Teenage Counsellor
Result:
- Minimal unrelated admin for GPs
- Only truly clinically relevant tasks reach the GP list
The Practice
- Small but established GP training practice with teaching and research opportunities

- Stable and growing clinical team with existing pipeline for partnerships

About the GP They’re Looking For
A team-oriented GP who:
- Enjoys contributing to practice development
- Is both open to newly qualified GPs and experienced professionals
- Preferred special(ties): Women’s Health, Minor Surgery, or Training (not essential)
Currently provisional GMC/GigFUTURE applicants will not be accepted at this location.
