Role: Sales Account Executive
Location: Sheffield (Hybrid Working - 3 days per week on site)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 basic + commission & benefits
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Sales Account Executive to join a rapidly growing clean energy and technology business operating across the UK.
This role is ideal for an ambitious junior sales or business development professional looking to build a long-term career within the sustainability and energy transition sector. Working closely with senior commercial leadership, the successful candidate will help drive new business growth across key vertical markets including manufacturing, logistics, retail, and the public sector.
The business operates at the forefront of the clean-tech market, delivering innovative energy solutions including EV charging, solar, battery storage, and wider sustainable infrastructure technologies. The environment combines the agility of a fast-growing business with the backing and scale of a larger international group.
The Role
The Sales Account Executive will focus on identifying new commercial opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and supporting tender and bid activity across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across targeted industry sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
- Support bid and tender processes, including public sector opportunities
- Utilise CRM systems, digital platforms, and AI-driven tools to support prospecting and sales activity
- Work collaboratively with marketing and commercial teams to tailor proposals and customer engagement strategies
- Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry conferences across the UK
- Contribute ideas to improve sales performance, commercial processes, and market responsiveness
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and opportunity tracking
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- 1–3 years’ experience in sales, business development, or account management
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with strong commercial awareness
- Interest or experience within clean technology, renewable energy, EV charging, solar, or related sectors
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence using CRM systems, digital sales tools, and AI-based research platforms
- A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering strong outcomes
- Willingness to travel for meetings and events when required
