Role Description

The Sales Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Barnsley. The role involves:

  • Managing existing customer accounts
  • Building strong relationships
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through responsive service and timely support
  • Identifying new sales opportunities
  • Conducting lead generation activities
  • Following up on inquiries to grow revenue within assigned territories and sectors

  • Preparing quotations
  • Negotiating pricing and terms
  • Coordinating with internal teams on order processing and delivery
  • Maintaining accurate records in the CRM system

The position also includes:

  • Monitoring market trends
  • Participating in sales meetings
  • Providing feedback to improve products and services

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a focus on building trust and long-term relationships.
  • Experience in Account Management, including maintaining and growing existing customer accounts.
  • Ability to perform Lead Generation activities and support sales pipeline development.
  • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with customers and internal teams.
  • Previous B2B sales experience, ideally in MRO, industrial, or related distribution environments.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations).
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Valid right to work in the UK and ability to commute to the Barnsley site.
  • Relevant education or training in sales, business, or a technical field related to industrial products is beneficial.
