Sales Account Manager
Build relationships | Manage projects | Develop your career
We're looking for a Sales Account Manager to join our friendly, close-knit Utilities Connections team, helping customers with new gas, electricity and water connections from enquiry through to completion.
This is a relationship-led sales role, managing warm enquiries, preparing quotations and working closely with customers to deliver a professional service throughout their project.
Previous utilities experience is helpful but not essential. We'll provide full training – we're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, is commercially minded, organised and confident managing multiple customer enquiries.
What you'll be doing
- Managing warm inbound enquiries for gas, electricity and water connections
- Preparing quotations with support from our technical planning team
- Following up quotations and customer enquiries
- Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Acting as the main point of contact throughout each project
- Managing your sales pipeline and maintaining accurate CRM records
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure projects run smoothly
- Identifying opportunities for repeat business and account growth

- Experience in sales, account management, customer service or sales support
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence following up enquiries and managing customer expectations
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with quotations, figures and customer requirements
- A proactive team player with a positive attitude
