Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Account Manager to drive growth across the United Kingdom (approx. 80% UK South and Midlands) for Agilent's Chemistries and Supplies (CSD) portfolio of analytical consumables.
Focused on the Chromatography and Spectroscopy markets, you will join a dynamic and high-performing sales team responsible for managing accounts across the Environmental, Food, Chemical, and Academic sectors. In this customer-facing role, you will leverage your scientific expertise and commercial acumen to develop strategic relationships, identify new business opportunities, and deliver value-driven solutions that help customers achieve their goals.
You will be responsible for selling Agilent's comprehensive Chemistries and Supplies portfolio, including HPLC and GC columns, sample preparation products, and laboratory supplies, while developing and executing sales strategies to consistently exceed business objectives.
As an integral member of the Chemistries and Supplies Sales team, you will focus on expanding Agilent's market presence, strengthening customer partnerships, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage customer relationships, ensuring Agilent is recognized as a trusted strategic partner while achieving sales targets.
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions that deliver value and create new business opportunities.
- Own and deliver sales quota performance within the assigned territory and accounts.
- Promote and sell the full Agilent Chemistries and Supplies portfolio.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers within assigned accounts and territories.
- Lead and coordinate complex sales projects involving cross-functional teams, technical specialists, and product experts.
- Collaborate with customers to support application development, enhance customer satisfaction, and secure larger strategic opportunities.
- Partner closely with Marketing to align product messaging and support commercial programs and campaigns.
- Develop and implement account plans that drive revenue growth and increase Agilent's footprint within existing and new customers.

Qualifications
Required
- Fluent English speaker with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- 2–4 years of customer-facing sales experience selling analytical consumables, laboratory supplies, or related scientific products with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of analytical laboratory workflows and customer requirements within the UK market.
- Solid technical knowledge of analytical techniques, including:
- Chromatography (GC and HPLC)
- Spectroscopy
- Mass Spectrometry
- Experience supporting customers in Environmental and Food Safety markets.
- Strong business development, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Experience managing medium to large accounts and successfully introducing both established and new products.
- Demonstrated success in strategic account management and territory growth.
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
