Sales Account Manager

Overall Summary

At Close Brothers we look to recruit individuals from all different backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick every box. We celebrate diversity, promote inclusivity and are open to discuss flexible work options to help you balance your work and home life.

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for re-engaging, retaining and developing dealer partners by consistently delivering our value proposition and delivering sustainable sales growth. Acting as a trusted commercial partner, the Account Manager helps dealer partners improve performance, remain compliant, and achieve sustainable growth through the effective use of our motor finance, insight, and support solutions.

Responsibilities

The Sales Account Manager brings our value proposition to life by:

  • Building deep understanding of each dealer partner’s business model, objectives, challenges and growth plans.
  • Translating our products, services, insight and expertise into clear, dealer specific commercial value.
  • Positioning finance, data, regulatory support and operational solutions as enablers of dealer performance, not just funding.
  • Providing insight led conversations using market, portfolio and consumer data to inform decision making.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, helping dealers navigate regulatory change, risk, and evolving customer expectations.

Relationship & Value Management

  • Managing a book of accounts remotely
  • High-frequency dealer partner touchpoints
  • Maximise dealer value by aligning our value proposition to each partner’s objectives, performance gaps and growth opportunities.
  • Deliver balanced performance across sales activity, revenue, margin quality and operational efficiency.
  • Support dealer partners to set, track and achieve business, funding and forecourt objectives.
  • Identify early indicators of risk or underperformance and take appropriate, timely action to protect outcomes for both parties.
  • Educate dealer partners on credit appetite, proposal quality and process efficiency to drive “first call resolution” outcomes.
  • Consistently demonstrate the agreed sales and relationship approach when engaging dealer partners.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
