Sales Administrator

Sales Administrator Location: Farnworth, Bolton, BL4 0AN | Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 38 hours per week (07:30–16:00 Mon–Thurs, 07:30–12:50 Fri)

Heatrod Elements, based in Greater Manchester, is the UK’s leading manufacturer of heating elements and industrial process heating equipment.


About the Role

Sales Administrators support the Engineering and Sales teams within a manufacturing environment—acting as a critical link between customers, sales, production, and logistics. You’ll ensure:

  • Accurate order processing
  • Efficient customer query resolution
  • Consistent service levels

Key responsibilities include sales administration, customer service, and team coordination.


Examples of Responsibilities

Sales & Order Administration

  • Process customer orders manually or via ERP/sales systems
  • Generate and follow up on sales quotations
  • Liaise with production and planning teams for lead times and deliveries
  • Maintain up-to-date records of customers, pricing, and orders

Customer Service

  • Be the primary point of contact for customer enquiries (phone/email)
  • Resolve order, delivery, and invoice queries
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints with internal teams
  • Cultivate strong customer relationships

Coordination & Communication

  • Assist Sales & Engineering teams with account administration
  • Coordinate information between production, warehouse, and logistics teams

Reporting & Administration

  • Generate salesorder reports
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

✔ Experience in manufacturing sales administration or customer service ✔ Strong communication and organisation skills ✔ Proficient with Microsoft Office
