Sales Administrator
Permanent · Competitive salary + strong benefits package
Salesforce · B2B · Commercial operations
The Context
The UK's zero-emission transport sector is being built right now. HydraB is at the centre of it - developing the vehicles, hydrogen infrastructure, power systems and energy services that move decarbonisation from ambition to operational reality across bus, coach, fleet and energy markets.
Five operating companies. One Group. A commercial operation that is growing fast and needs to run like one business.
Underpinning all of it is FUZE - HydraB's digital and data platform, connecting vehicles, chargers, energy systems and operational data across the Group. The sales infrastructure these roles will build and manage sits at the heart of that same ambition: one version of the truth, across every customer, every deal, every company.
That's what these roles are about.
The Role
The Group is consolidating all sales activity into a single Salesforce instance - bringing multiple operating companies onto one platform, many of their sales teams for the first time. These two roles sit at the centre of that effort and everything that comes after it.
You'll be the person sales professionals turn to when they need help with the tool, a report running, a record updating, or a piece of admin taken off their desk. You'll keep the CRM clean, the pipeline honest and the sales team moving.
And you'll do more than maintain - you'll also play an active role in early-stage lead generation: spotting inbound enquiries, capturing soft leads, qualifying and routing them to the right person, and making sure no potential opportunity slips through the cracks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

This is a service role - and that's a good thing. The best sales operations people are the ones who make everyone around them more effective.
What You'll Actually Do
- Be the first port of call for sales professionals across the Group adopting Salesforce - many of them for the first time
- Keep CRM records accurate, complete and useful - opportunities, contacts, pipeline stages, activity logs
- Identify and capture soft leads through inbound enquiries, marketing activity and customer interactions - qualifying, categorising and routing them to the right sales team member
- Produce pipeline, forecast and data quality reports for sales leadership and the Board
- Handle the commercial admin around the sales cycle - NDAs, proposals, quote tracking, customer onboarding paperwork
- Support meeting preparation, account briefing packs, customer correspondence and event follow-up
- Act as the informed voice between the sales team and the external Salesforce partner - challenging back when things don't serve the team
- Work closely with your counterpart at the other site as a two-person sales ops centre of excellence for the Group
You'll Be a Great Fit If You
- Have 3-5 years in sales admin, sales ops or sales support - and genuinely enjoy it
- Know Salesforce properly - reports, dashboards, queries, bulk updates - without needing external help for the everyday stuff
- Are the person who notices the gap in the data, the stale opportunity, the missing contact - and does something about it
- Can spot a potential lead and know what to do with it - capturing it accurately, assessing it quickly, and getting it to the right person
- Can work credibly with everyone from a junior BDM to a senior commercial director
- Are organised enough to hold multiple sales teams' needs in your head at once without dropping anything
- Are comfortable pushing back - on sales colleagues when records aren't right, on external partners when work isn't good enough
