Sales Adviser (Housebuilding)
About the Role
Our Sales Advisers help customers find their dream home and provide outstanding customer service throughout the sales process.
Sales Advisers work closely with customers to understand their needs, build rapport, and guide them through the property-buying journey. Reporting to a Sales Manager, your responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong customer relationships: Nurture rapport with customers using exceptional interpersonal skills, including active listening, questioning, empathy, product demonstrations, and closing techniques
- Showcase local expertise: Demonstrate extensive knowledge of amenities, schools, transport links, and competitive properties in the area
- Master our offerings: Maintain a deep understanding of our products, pricing, and incentives
- Drive conversions: Effectively follow up on leads to turn enquiries into site visits and completed sales
- Achieve sales targets: Meet and exceed business objectives using our Sales methodology and incentives
- Communicate clearly: present information persuasively to internal teams and external customers
- Personal initiative: work effectively with minimal supervision, managing your tasks independently
Entry Requirements
To excel in this role, we’re looking for candidates who:
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven sales experience, preferably in a customer-facing environment (e.g., housebuilding, retail, hospitality, banking, or estate agency)
- A commercially astute mindset, with knowledge of the property market and competitor analysis
- Ability to quickly understand customer needs and advocate for our company
- Resilience and drive to meet and exceed challenging personal and team targets
- Ability to stay composed under pressure during high-stakes interactions
- A proactive approach to continuous learning—tracking market trends, regulations, and technology
- Excellent persuasive communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence customers assertively and build trust
- Willingness to adapt to change and share best practices with the team
- Strong inter-personnel skills to collaborate across functions (both internally and externally)
- Self-motivated, flexible, and comfortable working autonomously
- Full driving license with access to a vehicle for business travel and ad-hoc site visits
- Availability for weekends, bank holidays, and short-notice travel
