About the Role
At Rix Petroleum, we're passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships with our customers. We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our team and play a key role in supporting our domestic fuel business.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, providing expert advice, processing orders, identifying sales opportunities and working closely with our depot and operations teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience from enquiry through to delivery.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver exceptional customer service through inbound telephone and email enquiries.
- Process heating oil orders quickly and accurately.
- Provide quotations and pricing information to customers.
- Build long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Identify opportunities to promote additional products and services.
- Support customer retention initiatives and sales campaigns.
- Keep customer records up to date using internal systems.
- Work closely with depot and operations teams to coordinate deliveries and manage customer expectations.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally, escalating when appropriate.
- Support marketing campaigns and customer communications.
- Complete office administration accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Contribute positively to team performance and depot objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, policies and health & safety standards.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- A proactive, positive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Desirable
- Experience in a customer service or sales role.
- Experience within the fuel, energy, logistics or distribution sectors.
- Knowledge of CRM systems or order processing software.
