Job Opportunity: Fixed Term Sales Advisor – Thames Valley Division

There is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Advisor to join Bellway, one of the UK's largest house builders. The Thames Valley Division is recruiting for a role based in the Berkshire/Hampshire area. This is a fixed-term position (12 months).


The Role

The Sales Advisor reports to the Sales Manager and covers all sales aspects of managing a development. This involves:

  • Ensuring the highest level of customer service.
  • Achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Effectively progressing reservations through contract exchange and legal completion.
  • Supporting customers post-completion, including reporting repairs or customer issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving sales targets, as defined by management.
  • Regular liaison with:
    • Customers (to ensure timeliness in contract exchange and completions).
    • Solicitors.
    • Financial advisors.
  • Provide post-completion support, including resolving customer issues.
  • Proactively collaborate with Sales Managers and colleagues to suggest sales improvement strategies.
  • Ensure the presentation and maintenance of the site is at the highest standards.
  • Acquire and provide accurate, full information to purchasers regarding offer, property features, and benefits.
  • Give guided tours of show homes, stock plots, and site to demonstrate products, features, and benefits.
  • Ensure all site visitors are aware of Bellway’s Health and Safety Policy—always accompanied by a Bellway representative.
  • Effectively use the CRM system, maintaining accurate records.
  • Liaise with the Site Manager to schedule customer meetings efficiently.
  • Attend and record a weekly Sales/Site Meeting, completing any action points or to-do lists.
  • Uphold industry regulations, company policies, processes, and standards.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

Desired Experience

  • Preferred:
    • Experience in the housebuilding industry.
    • Customer service delivery.
    • Handling confidential/sensitive information.
    • Property sales and marketing processes.
    • Experience in customer-focused interactions (including home visits).
    • Establishing effective relationships with property professionals and external agencies.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Access to a suitable vehicle for business use (as required).

Core Skills & Aptitude

  • Thorough knowledge of the home buying/conveyancing process.
  • Self-motivated and capable of planning, prioritising, and organising to meet sales and completion goals.
  • Proficiency in IT, including:
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all stakeholders.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

The Role & Expectations

  • Predominantly site-based, with travel to division offices as required.
  • 12-month fixed-term role.
  • Flexible working hours and location, including weekends and occasional evenings.
