Sales Advisor

Sales Advisor (16 hours per week) – Samsonite Store, Bicester Village


Position: Sales Advisor, Part-time, 16 hours/week

Location: Samsonite Store, Bicester Village 112 Pingle Dr, Bicester OX26 6EU

Availability: Starting February 2026


Job Purpose

The ideal Sales Advisor will provide exceptional customer service while consistently reflecting a positive image of Samsonite to drive sales. This role involves maintaining a tidy store, assisting customers with product demonstrations, meeting sales targets, and supporting merchandising and operational duties.

Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, sales performance, and store presentation—helping create a professional, inviting environment where Samsonite customers choose Samsonite.


Principal Accountabilities

📊 Sales & Customer Service

  • Offer friendly, expert advice on Samsonite products, including demonstrations to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Clearly communicate the benefits and features of each product.
  • Maximise sales potential through deep product knowledge and add-on selling.
  • Ensure a positive, professional interaction with every customer—always prioritising their needs.
    • Handle complaints and phone queries tactfully in line with company policy.
  • Adhere to company policy for transaction processing (POS/digital payments) and accounting practices.

  • Be fully versed in:
    • After-sales service policies
    • Suppliers’ warranties and their coverage
    • Sales targets, commissions, and promotion updates (daily/weekly/periodic)
    • Product brochures and promotional incentives

🏪 Stock, Merchandising & Security

  • Handle deliveries promptly, documenting and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Monitor and maintain backup and in-store stock in a tidy, organised manner.
  • Support store layout and merchandising, including internal displays.
  • Assist in timed physical stock counts as directed by the Store Manager.
  • Ensure security protocols for stock and cash:
    • Report any security issues to Management immediately.
    • Follow strict company guidelines for stock/money supervision.

🧼 Housekeeping & Store Presentation

  • Maintain high standards in cleaning, stock storage, and fixtures.
  • Conduct daily clean-up and ensure all areas comply with Samsonite’s presentation policy.

📞 Administrative & Operational Duties

  • Handle phone calls with politeness and efficiency, forwarding messages correctly.
  • Communicate customer enquiries/orders to Head Office as required.
  • Follow standard procedures in store opening and closing routines.
  • Assist with stock/admin tasks provided by the Manager.

⏰ Attendance & Communication

  • Report 10 minutes prior to required start time to prepare effectively.
  • If absent or late, contact the store immediately to address coverage.
  • Directly inform your Manager if requiring a leave of absence via phone.
  • Compensate for any lost business hours (e.g., make-up shifts) and discuss with the Manager.
  • Attend mandated training courses on time and actively participate.

  • Promote safe working conditions—report any hazards/accidents immediately.
  • Understand and follow store fire safety procedures and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Be aware of the Samsonite Health & Safety Manual.

Additional Responsibilities

The role may also require flexible support for other store functions as requested by Management.
