Exciting Opportunity: Sales Advisor

Bellway, one of the UK’s largest housebuilders, is seeking a Sales Advisor to join the North East Division’s Sales team.


The Role

As a Sales Advisor, you will report to the Sales Director and carry out all sales-related tasks involved in managing a development. Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving or exceeding sales targets, as set by senior management.
  • Securing contract exchanges and legal completions by liaising with customers, solicitors and financial advisors.
  • Proactively assisting customers post-completion to report any repairs or issues.
  • Generating sales growth ideas in partnership with Sales Managers and colleagues.
  • Ensuring the general presentation and upkeep of site landscaped, aspiring to the highest standards.
  • Providing accurate and comprehensive information to purchasers regarding property features.
  • Guiding customers through show homes, plot visits, and site tours to highlight product strengths.
  • Ensuring visitors are informed of Bellway’s Health and Safety Policy and that they are accompanied by a Bellway representative.
  • Maintaining accurate records using Bellway’s CRM system.
  • Coordinating customer meetings with the Site Manager.
  • Attending and recording weekly Sales/Site Meetings, implementing any action points.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

Experience Required

  • Prior experience in the housebuilding industry (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experience in managing confidential and sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with property sales and marketing processes.
  • Ability to engage effectively in customer-facing scenarios, including home visits.
  • Experience building collaborative relationships with property professionals and external agencies.

Qualifications & Training

  • Must hold a current full UK driving licence.
  • Access to a vehicle for business use as required.

Key Skills & Aptitude

  • Detailed knowledge of the homebuying/conveyancing process.
  • Ability to use initiative, prioritise, organise work to meet sales/completion targets.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with willingness to adapt to new systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.

The Role and Working Conditions

  • Primarily site-based with regular travel to divisional offices.
  • Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
