Sales Advisor (4-Hour Contract) – Saltrock
Saltrock, an iconic British coastal lifestyle brand, is looking for a temporary Sales Advisor to join our vibrant team in Devon. Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and North Devon’s stunning coastline, Saltrock celebrates the spirit of the seaside with its print-driven holiday and lifestyle products.

For over 30 years, Saltrock has thrived as a devoted Devon brand, renowned for its iconic print designs, rooted in UK coastal heritage. Since 1988, we’ve grown from a modest South West venture into a cherished name for seaside spirituality, family fun, and timeless charm.
The Role
This 4-hour contract position is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to immerse themselves in customer-focused retail. You’ll join our dynamic Retail team, assisting in delivering an exceptional shopping experience while working toward seasonal sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Performance: Hit sales targets by showcasing passion for the Saltrock product and brand, alongside elevating customer service to foster returning buyers.
- Customer Engagement: Create a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere with relentless focus on customer happiness.
- Store Operations: Maintain high housekeeping standards for a clean, safe, and orderly environment—ensuring inventory is tidy, repacked, and stocked.
- Product Expertise: Advise shoppers on product features, benefits, and availability, keeping stock reinvigorated.
- Merchandising Support: Contribute to effective visual merchandising within agreed store guidelines.
- Transactional Accuracy: Manage till operations efficiently, including cash/card handling and handling markdown corrections on schedule.
- Logistics Assistance: Process incoming deliveries, ensuring smooth workflow.

What We’re Looking for
● A warm and engaging demeanour – your personality should align with our fun, family-friendly culture. ● Retail sales enthusiasm – a natural talent (or curiosity!) for interacting gracefully with customers. ● Strong merchandising instinct – an eye for aesthetics, capable of applying visual impact to our product. ● Till/cash operations expertise – fluency in checkout processes and secure transaction management. ● (Bonus) Prior retail experience – although not mandatory, it’ll give you a head start!
