Who We Are

SSG Training & Consultancy Ltd supports businesses in improving health, safety, environmental, HR, and compliance performance through industry-accredited training (e.g., UKATA asbestos awareness) and advisory services. Services include in-person, online, and virtual delivery formats.

Part of the Celnor Group, a UK-based environmental services group operating across Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC). The group delivers critical services protecting people, property, and the environment, combining specialist business identities with central support for people, systems, and growth.


About the Role

As a Customer Service & Sales Advisor, you’ll serve as the primary customer touchpoint, often setting the impression for new or infrequent clients. Your responsibilities include:

  • Converting enquiries into bookings
  • Building customer relationships for repeat business
  • Identifying opportunities to increase customer spend
  • Providing proactive sales support from initial contact to confirmed appointments
  • Guiding decisions through consulting expertise and cross/upselling.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound envelopires from both new and existing customers, converting interest into bookings or meetings.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling services to maximise customer value.
  • Build and maintain loyal customer relationships to encourage recurrent business.
  • Promote services, packages, and promotions with confidence.
  • Accurately manage bookings while recording all essential details.
  • Follow up with prospective customers to secure conversions.
  • Work towards individual and team targets (bookings, engagement and revenue).
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences throughout the journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and departments for seamless service.
  • Solve complaints professionally, using challenges as opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales and customer service.
  • Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers to establish quick trust.
  • Ability to self-manage with focus amid a busy workload.
  • Proactive team-working, interpersonal energy, and a positive attitude.
  • Administrative proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and granular attention to detail.
  • Comfort navigating the wider business impact to spot growth potential.
