Sales & Estimating Support Apprentice
We are looking to recruit a Sales & Estimating Support Apprentice to join our Sales & Estimating team.
This role is primarily an administrative support position within our sales and estimating function. You will play a key part in assisting the preparation, coordination, and tracking of mechanical and building services tenders, ensuring our estimating team has the information and documentation required to produce accurate and timely submissions.
Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you will begin a structured learning pathway within the Building Services industry, studying towards a Level 3 qualification or Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Building Services Engineering. This will support your development of technical knowledge and understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) systems, enabling progression within the estimating and engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Estimating Administration Support
- Provide administrative support to the estimating and sales function throughout the tender process.
- Maintain and update the CRM system (BigChange), ensuring all sales opportunities and tender information are accurately recorded.
- Assist in preparing and issuing supplier and subcontractor enquiry packages.
- Collate, organise, and track quotations received from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support the preparation and submission of tender documentation.
- Monitor key tender dates and deadlines, ensuring submissions are tracked and delivered on time.
- Maintain accurate project and estimate records, ensuring information is kept up to date.
- Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to support the flow of tender information.

Coordination & Process Support
- Support the estimating team in managing workload and tender trackers.
- Help ensure all bid-related documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within required timescales.
- Assist in maintaining structured filing and document control systems.
Industry Exposure & Development
- Attend site surveys and project visits with experienced engineers to gain understanding of building services systems.
- Develop knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) installations and construction methods.
- Gain awareness of how design, estimating, and installation processes link together within building services projects.
Training & Development
As part of this apprenticeship, you will:
- Study towards a Level 3 qualification or Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Building Services Engineering (subject to entry requirements).
- Receive structured on-the-job training within sales support and estimating administration.
- Build understanding of mechanical and building services engineering principles.
- Develop competence in tendering processes, documentation control, and estimating support functions.
- Gain exposure to real construction projects from enquiry through to submission.
