Observit is market-leading in the Nordic region when it comes to mobile video surveillance in public transport. The customer base includes large well-known bus operators such as Nobina, Keolis, Transdev, VR, Vy as well as other transport-heavy customers such as Elis.

The company provides software as a cloud service, a SaaS solution (Software as a Service), and currently has 49,000+ licenses (one license per camera) connected worldwide. Observit has its headquarters in Sundsvall, as well as offices in Malmö and London, United Kingdom.

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Sales and Maintenance Specialist to join our team in the UK.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by engaging with customers and providing expert technical support for equipment maintenance and repairs. Your expertise will ensure that our systems operate smoothly, and our clients receive exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical skills with customer interaction, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintenance and Installation Coordination — Plan, schedule, and oversee routine and reactive maintenance for installed Observit products. Prepare and build all new orders for installs.
  • Technical Troubleshooting — Diagnose issues quickly and confidently, communicating clear solutions and next steps to customers.
  • Hardware & Equipment Management — Assess equipment requirements and manage hardware orders to ensure availability.
  • Emergency Support — Respond promptly to urgent support requests via email, phone, or online support cases.
  • Customer Service Excellence — Deliver high-quality customer care, identify opportunities for enhanced support, and provide training that empowers users.
  • Resource & Engineer Coordination — Allocate internal resources and field engineers to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Operational Administration — Review and approve operational invoices alongside the accounts team. Maintain accurate service records and prepare customer documentation for site visits.
  • Customer & Supplier Relations — Build strong, long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Health & Safety Compliance — Ensure contractors adhere to all onsite health and safety requirements.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in a customer service or technical support role, demonstrating confidence in handling customer queries and guiding them through troubleshooting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and calmly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to reassure customers during complex or stressful situations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint and Teams is desired, but not essential.

  • GCSE qualifications and further education preferable.
  • Commitment to maintaining and developing professional knowledge.
  • Understanding of company systems and operational processes.

Additional Requirements

  • Adherence to company Health & Safety and VDU guidelines.
  • Willingness to travel to Observit offices and customer sites across the UK when required.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends when required.
