We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Sales and Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will drive revenue by effectively selling all aspects of the hotel within the local and national marketplace. You will support the delivery of the hotel sales and revenue budget by increasing the share and profitability of existing accounts and securing new business across all market segments.
You will focus on corporate, meetings and events, and social banqueting segments, implementing targeted sales and marketing activities such as direct selling, promotions, and digital campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and own the sales and marketing plan that aligns with the hotel's objectives, outlining actions and strategies to support the hotel's positioning in the marketplace.
- Collaborate with the hotel revenue team, supported by the General Manager and Area Sales Director, to devise strategies to retain and grow the business and maximize revenue.
- Continuously research competitor properties to obtain market and rate intelligence, understand business trends, and identify potential business to target.
- Support the preparation of the annual budgets and take ownership of driving and delivering agreed strategies in line with the hotel sales and marketing plan.
- Actively seek, identify, secure, and contract new and repeat business across all market segments, with a focus on corporate, meetings and events, and banqueting segments.
- Manage and penetrate new accounts to secure business and increase market share.
- Establish and manage relationships with Brand Key Account Directors/Managers to maximize revenue opportunities from key national accounts.
- Utilize Brand sales initiatives and tools to maximize benefits to the hotel.
- Prepare account development plans for the hotel’s key accounts to ensure maximum share from each account.
- Support Valor’s central marketing team in data capture and database management processes and systems.
- Identify and target local leisure attractions to develop mutually beneficial affiliations and partnerships.
- Plan and execute local hotel marketing campaigns, producing sales and marketing collateral in conjunction with Valor’s central marketing team and partners.
- Manage and implement the hotel’s local social media strategy and activity.
- Ensure the hotel’s online presence, including brand.com and third-party sites, is up-to-date.
- Maximize local PR opportunities when appropriate.
- Engage with the hotel team to embed a sales culture throughout the hotel, utilizing Valor sales initiatives and tools.
- Represent the hotel at seminars and business events to maximize networking opportunities and raise the hotel's profile.
- Manage relationships with local attractions and venues for joint opportunities.

Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Teams/Zoom, Social Media, and Digital Marketing Channels (i.e., Facebook, Instagram).
