About the Role
Build the operational foundations behind an exciting new grocery retail partnership and help shape the next chapter of our wholesale growth.
Our Sales & Operations Executive
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Wholesale team at a pivotal moment of growth. You will play a central role in launching and embedding the operational framework for a major new grocery retail partner, creating robust processes that support a seamless and successful long-term partnership.
Taking ownership of end-to-end operational activity, you will ensure orders are processed accurately, delivered on time and completed to the highest standard. You will bring internal teams, retail partners and third-party providers together, solving challenges quickly, improving ways of working and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This is more than an operational support role. You will use account insights to identify opportunities for growth, help bring new products and promotions to market and support the sales team in engaging prospective wholesale customers. Your work will directly influence the performance of this strategic retail partnership and the continued expansion of The Newt’s wholesale business.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and embed effective operational processes for a major new grocery retail partnership.
- Manage the end-to-end order journey, ensuring orders are accurate, on time and proactively resolved.
- Work closely with Production and Merchandising to strengthen forecasting, maximise availability and reduce excess stock.
- Manage third-party logistics relationships, maintaining excellent service levels and driving continuous improvement.
- Lead the operational setup of new products, ensuring data, imagery and specifications are accurate and launch-ready.
- Act as the main operational contact for customers, resolving delivery, stock, quality and service issues quickly and professionally.
- Analyse account performance and identify opportunities to improve service, increase product availability and grow sales.
- Research, qualify and engage prospective wholesale customers while maintaining an accurate and well-managed CRM pipeline.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
