Sales & Operations Manager - Travel Sector
Hybrid working (3-4 days onsite) | West Yorkshire | £40,000 - £50,000
Are you currently working in a travel agency, tour operator, online travel business, or customer-focused travel organisation and looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact?
We're partnering with an ambitious and fast-growing specialist travel business with an outstanding reputation in its market. Having achieved significant growth, the company is now entering an exciting new phase and is seeking a commercially minded Sales & Operations Manager to help drive the next stage of its journey.
This is far more than a traditional management role. You'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, improve performance, develop people, implement new systems and processes, and play a key role in shaping a business that is becoming a recognised leader within its sector. The Opportunity
Reporting directly into the leadership team, you'll be responsible for both commercial performance and operational excellence across the organisation.
You will:
Drive Sales Performance
- Lead and improve the end-to-end sales process
- Increase conversion rates and maximise sales opportunities
- Introduce structure, accountability, and best practice across the sales function
- Coach and develop team members to improve individual performance
- Use data and reporting to drive commercial decision-making
Improve Operations
- Develop scalable processes that support continued business growth
- Improve operational efficiency and customer service delivery
- Create clear workflows and performance measures
- Support the successful delivery of customer experiences and events
Lead Systems & CRM Development
- Help optimise CRM systems and customer journey processes
- Improve visibility of sales pipelines and business performance
- Introduce meaningful reporting and KPI tracking
- Support ongoing digital and technology improvements
Develop People & Culture
- Lead, coach, and develop a growing team
- Introduce structured performance management and development plans
- Build a high-performing, accountable, and customer-focused culture
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and future talent development

About You
We're looking for an individual who combines commercial awareness with strong operational leadership.
You'll likely bring:
- Previous experience in a travel industry environment
- Experience managing people and improving team performance
- Strong sales and customer service leadership skills
- Experience implementing or improving processes and systems
- Confidence using CRM platforms and business reporting tools
- A highly organised and proactive approach
- The ability to thrive within a growing, fast-moving business
