About the Role

As a Sales & Retention Manager, you’ll drive membership growth, maximise retention, and ensure our live member movement continues expanding. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a full-time leadership role where you’ll lead sales initiatives, coach the team, and ensure every member’s journey is seamless from the first visit to long-term success. You’ll champion sales excellence at the club, implementing smart strategies and fostering strong relationships both within the gym and externally.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Advocate and deliver the FUNDAMENTALS sales process, training and coaching the team to reach peak performance.
  • Drive new member sales while maximising retention of existing members to grow live member numbers.
  • Own the club’s activity planner, ensuring initiatives are well-planned, executed, and impactful.
  • Implement creative lead-generation strategies, both internally and externally.
  • Monitor KPI dashboards, providing key insights to the General Manager and ensuring targets are met.
  • Drive all revenue streams—memberships, product sales, and secondary spend—to maximise profitability.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly sales presentations to the wider management team.
  • Build strong local business partnerships and develop #WeMoveBusinesses opportunities.
  • Lead by example, including reception and gym floor duties in this member-facing role.
  • Engage in national initiatives such as #WorkoutWednesday and #WeCommunicate.
  • Provide honest, constructive feedback to team members, supporting their development and performance.
  • Support the General Manager with operational tasks like health & safety, facilities, maintenance, recruitment, and presentation standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
