Job Overview
ASC is a well-established and growing business, with over 40 years of history. Operating within the Metal Stock industrial and manufacturing supply sector. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to appoint a number of ambitious and customer-focused Internal Sales Executive to join our successful team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in sales, account management, customer service, or a commercial environment who enjoys working in a fast-paced business and is looking to build a long-term career within a growing organisation.
As an Internal Sales Executive, you will play a key role in supporting customers, generating quotations, converting opportunities into orders, and developing strong relationships with clients across a diverse range of industries.
Duties
- Managing inbound customer enquiries via telephone and email
- Preparing and following up quotations to maximise conversion rates
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Developing existing accounts and identifying new sales opportunities
- Negotiating pricing and commercial terms within agreed parameters
- Working collaboratively with purchasing, operations, and logistics teams
- Monitoring stock availability and recommending suitable alternatives where required
- Resolving customer queries and providing outstanding customer service
- Supporting wider sales and business development activities
- Contributing towards sales growth, margin improvement, and customer retention targets

About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who enjoys building relationships and delivering excellent customer service.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in sales, account management, customer service, or a commercial role
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence speaking with customers and developing relationships over the phone
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Experience using CRM systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial products, metals, steel, construction, distribution, or technical sales would be advantageous but is not essential, as full product training will be provided.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with an outgoing personality who is confident picking up the phone and engaging with customers.
This role is ideal for motivated professionals eager to develop their career in account management within a supportive environment that values initiative and strategic thinking.
ASC will offer full product training and onboarding, but the right candidate must have an outgoing personality and not afraid to pick up the phone.
