Sales and Visitor Experience Manager

Sales and Visitor Experience Manager – Corn Exchange Newbury Trust

About the Role

The Sales and Visitor Experience Manager is a full-time, onsite role based in Newbury, responsible for the following at Corn Exchange Newbury and the Old Library:

  • Managing commercial and trading opportunities in front-of-house areas
  • Ensuring a welcoming, high-quality visitor experience
  • Supporting team and volunteers
  • Implementing commercial revenue plans
  • Monitoring sales, fundraising targets, and trading budgets
  • Maximising efficiency and fulfilling Duty Manager responsibilities

Location & Facilities

The Corn Exchange Newbury Trust manages four vibrant arts venues in West Berkshire:

  • Corn Exchange – A 400-seat auditorium, 40-seat independent cinema, and a busy Café and Bar
  • 101 Outdoor Arts – A dedicated creation space for large-scale outdoor performances
  • The Old Library – Hosts learning, participation activities, and a studio theatre
  • The Base Greenham – A visual arts gallery and workshop space

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Have proven experience managing a team
  • Be skilled in increasing commercial revenue and managing budgets/targets
  • Exhibit strong organisation and time management
  • Prefer a proactive, results-driven, and fast-paced work environment
  • Have relevant experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles
