Sales and Visitor Experience Manager – Corn Exchange Newbury Trust
About the Role
The Sales and Visitor Experience Manager is a full-time, onsite role based in Newbury, responsible for the following at Corn Exchange Newbury and the Old Library:
- Managing commercial and trading opportunities in front-of-house areas
- Ensuring a welcoming, high-quality visitor experience
- Supporting team and volunteers
- Implementing commercial revenue plans
- Monitoring sales, fundraising targets, and trading budgets
- Maximising efficiency and fulfilling Duty Manager responsibilities
Location & Facilities
The Corn Exchange Newbury Trust manages four vibrant arts venues in West Berkshire:
- Corn Exchange – A 400-seat auditorium, 40-seat independent cinema, and a busy Café and Bar
- 101 Outdoor Arts – A dedicated creation space for large-scale outdoor performances
- The Old Library – Hosts learning, participation activities, and a studio theatre
- The Base Greenham – A visual arts gallery and workshop space

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset
- Have proven experience managing a team
- Be skilled in increasing commercial revenue and managing budgets/targets
- Exhibit strong organisation and time management
- Prefer a proactive, results-driven, and fast-paced work environment
- Have relevant experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles
