Sales Assistant – Architectural Coatings Division
Bracknell (Johnstone’s Decorating Centre) Full-time | Permanent
Position Summary
We’re hiring a customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our Architectural Coatings team in Bracknell. This is a permanent, full-time role where your passion for service helps shape a supportive and engaging work environment. While previous experience in a customer-facing setting or familiarity with IT systems is desirable, we’ll provide all necessary in-store training to equip you for success.

A Day in the Life
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll contribute to a dynamic retail environment with responsibilities including:
- Customer service:
- Serve customers at trade counters and in-store with professionalism and warmth
- Product expertise:
- Complete technical training to seamlessly recommend products for trade/sign-offs
- Store management:
- Maintain cleanliness & presentation
- Handle deliveries/stock replenishment
Key Traits to Succeed:
- Desirable though not essential: Retail or customer-service experience
- Clear communication + positive, solutions-focused attitude
- Adaptability to hours/duties
- Driving licence (advantageous)
