Sales Assistant / Driver (Part-Time) – Basingstoke – 30 Hours Per Week (3 Months Temporary)
Role Overview
At Crown Paints, our Sales Assistants are the backbone of the store—helping customers deliver projects with confidence, nurturing relationships with local trades, and ensuring outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service across all interactions, including:
- Handling customer service in-store and via telephone
- Mixing and tinting paints to precise customer specifications
- Operating the store van to deliver stock locally
- Processing sales and managing Point of Sale (POS) transactions
- Supporting stock control, deliveries, and maintaining store standards
- Building trust with customers and opening new trade accounts
- Actively identifying and engaging potential new customers
This role requires direct customer interaction, blending retail, delivery, and sales responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role
- Basingstoke store location
- 30 hours per week (3-month temporary contract) – £12.71 per hour
- No shift work (no nights, no Sundays)

Critical Requirements
- Friendly, confident, and customer-focused nature
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- At least basic retail or sales experience (not essential but advantageous)
- Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- Full, valid driving licence
- Ability to undertake manual handling tasks (5–10kg weight) and stand for extended periods
