Sales Assistant / Driver (Part-Time – 35hrs/week)
Location: Aberdeen Salary: £12.71 per hour (+ excellent benefits package)
About the Role
At Crown Paints, our Sales Assistants are the backbone of the store — helping customers realise their projects, nurturing ties with local trades, and crafting outstanding customer experiences.
We’re seeking a part-time Sales Assistant / Driver to join our Aberdeen team and take on the following key responsibilities:
- Deliver brilliant customer service, both in-store and over the phone
- Mix and tint paint to customer specifications
- Drive the store van to perform local deliveries and stock runs
- Process sales and handle point-of-sale (POS) transactions
- Support stock control, deliveries, and store standards
- Build relationships with customers and open new trade accounts proactively
A key focus of the role is identifying new customer opportunities, fostering positive relationships, and extending customer accounts consistently. Your expertise will span from DIY enthusiasts tackling weekend projects to professional decorators and builders who depend on us daily.

Person Specification
To thrive in this role, we’re looking for:
- A friendly, confident, and approachable personality when engaging with customers
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Retail or sales experience (although not always essential)
- Attention to detail and adherence to safe working practices
- A full driving licence (to comply with delivery requirements)
