Sales Assistant – Host (16hrs per week)
Pay:
- **16-**17: £8.00 per hour
- 18+: £12.71 per hour
Your local store is looking for a Sales Assistant – Host to join our vibrant team. Every visit to our store is an opportunity to make someone’s day—starting from the first hello and ending with the final warm thank you.
Our Sales Assistants are the heart of our stores, focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Host, you’ll be the first face customers see when they walk in, helping them discover what they’re looking for and turning every interaction into a memorable one.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Recommendations
- Be customer-obsessed, ensuring every interaction leaves a positive, lasting impression.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, consistently improving Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) scores.
- Be the first point of contact—approach customers confidently, provide tailored advice, and recommend products (including click-and-collect, home delivery, and online exclusives).
- Personalise the shopping experience, ensuring customers leave with everything they need—plus that little extra they didn’t expect.

Servicing & Sales
- Assist customers in finding products (e.g., bedding, curtains, homeware, cookware) while identifying upsell opportunities.
- Offer a friendly and efficient checkout experience, carefully packing items—especially fragile goods—to ensure safe delivery.
Store Operations
- Help present the store beautifully, keeping spaces tidy and displays inviting.
- Process Click & Collect and home delivery orders, expanding product availability beyond the physical store.
- Support till operations, shop floor assistance, and stock management, including delivery receipts and stock replenishment.
Full Training Provided
- Train in tills, shop floor engagement, stock handling, and store maintenance.
- Develop knowledge across all customer-facing areas, from sales to operational support.
