Sales Assistant w/Driving
Sales Assistant – Hove, Johnstone’s Decorating Centre (Permanent, Full Time)
Summary
We now have an exciting, permanent vacancy for a Sales Assistant within our Architectural Coatings division. We’re looking for customer-focused, driven individuals who can thrive in our supportive team. Experience in customer-facing roles or IT familiarity is desirable but not essential—in-house training will prepare you for success.

A Day in the Life: Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Assistant, your role includes:
- Providing friendly, professional customer service at the trade counter and in-store
- Completing mandatory training to confidently select products for customer needs and promote our brand
- Maintaining a clean, well-presented store at all times
- Managing in-store stock by handling deliveries and keeping shelves fully stocked
Essential & Desirable Skills
Must-Have Requirements
- Draiving licence (mandatory for store duties)
Preferred Experience & Traits
- Experience in customer-facing roles (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills, with a boldly positive customer service attitude
- Basic ability to operate IT systems (on-the-job training provided)
- Flexibility to adjust working hours/duties as needed
