Role Overview

The Sales Support Associate (SSA) plays a vital role in a store’s success by ensuring seamless customer experiences and operational efficiency. This position demands professionalism, attentiveness to the brand’s standards, and a focus on delivering exceptional service at checkout and throughout the sales floor.

Key objectives:

  • Leave a lasting positive impression with warm, efficient customer interactions.
  • Maintain an organised and visually appealing store environment.
  • Support smooth workflows—from stock receipt to point of sale—with precision and accuracy.

Core Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement:

    • Welcome guests with professionalism and warmth, anticipating needs and offering personalized assistance.
    • Serve as a brand ambassador, reinforcing Coach’s values both internally and in the local community.
    • Support social media engagement (e.g., capturing client feedback or styling suggestions).
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Operate the POS system accurately, ensuring cash and media compliance with company policies.
    • Manage cash/mediom transactions and maintain a tidy and efficient cash wrap station.
    • Recommend add-ons, gift cards, and collect customer data (where permitted).
  • Inventory & Merchandising:

    • Receive, process, and organize shipments/transfers, reporting stock discrepancies promptly.
    • Maintain stockroom cleanliness and tidiness.
    • Monitor stock levels, replenish the sales floor, and execute visual merchandising updates.

  • Team Collaboration:
    • Assist store personnel with sales floor activities and respond promptly to customer requests.
    • Partner with colleagues or management as needed to ensure smooth operations.
    • Adhere to housekeeping standards and Loss Prevention policies.

Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

  • 1+ years of retail experience (e.g., cashiering, stock coordination, or sales in a luxury retail environment preferred; willing to consider combinations of education and experience).
  • Current awareness of fashion trends and marketplace competition.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Familiarity with cash register systems, RFID, databases.
    • Basic computer skills: iPad, laptop use, Mobile POS systems, internet navigation.
    • Ability to operate a walkie-talkie and interpret price sheets/product releases.

Soft Skills

  • Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • Multitasking in high-pressure environments.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills (fluent in English for EU roles).
  • Professionalism and ability to work flexibly.

Schedule

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, peak seasons, and public holidays.

Salary Range (EU): £30,160.00 – £32,000.00 equity-based, pro-ratable for part-time workloads. Role expectations apply transparently.
