The Role: Sales Associate

About This Position

Belstaff is seeking a ** Sales Associate** to drive sales revenue, build lasting client relationships, and deliver entrepreneurial-level customer service that aligns with our luxury retail benchmark.

This is a 24-hour-per-week contract role, requiring you to maximise store performance, inspire colleagues, and set the standard of sales excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Set and maintain the sales benchmark in-store, consistently hitting personal targets while mentoring colleagues to do the same.
  • Foster a dynamic and positive team environment that drives results and enhances customer engagement.
  • Greets, advises, and assists clients—providing tailored product recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Cross-sells and upsells confidently across the full Belstaff collection, ensuring clients experience the full range of offerings.

Customer Experience

  • Prioritize the client at all times—building strong, long-term relationships through exceptional service.
  • Exceed benchmark customer service standards in the luxury retail industry, including:
    • Proficient knowledge of all products, services, and processes (waxing, customisation, post-purchase care, stock availability).
    • Professional handling of customer complaints and issues.
  • Stay conversation-ready by following local events and current affairs to enrich client interactions.

Stock & Security

  • Ensure 100% accountability for Belstaff stock, adhering to security protocols:
    • Proper tagging and security systems must be followed in-store.
    • Stock must always be protected, labelled, and neatly displayed—with no stock left unnecessarily exposed.
    • Theft prevention: Monitor for risks and report vulnerabilities using company procedures.
  • Participate in audits and stock counts as required.

Visual Merchandising

  • Present Belstaff merchandise at its highest standard, aligned with brand aesthetics and commercial objectives.
  • Maintain optimal shop-floor and back-of-house stock standards—ensuring products are treated with care and stored safely to prevent damage.

Collaboration & Accountability

  • Collaborate with Store Manager and other teams on safety, profitability, and legal matters.
  • Follow H&S (Health & Safety) and security best practices, plus any additional duties assigned by the company.
