Retail Team Member – Gymshark (Fixed Term, 12 Weeks)

Overview

As a Retail Team Member at Gymshark, you’ll be a true brand ambassador, embodying our culture and values in every interaction. Passionate about fitness and the Gymshark brand, you’ll provide customers with expert product knowledge and exceptional service, ensuring they have an inspiring and empowering shopping experience. You’ll actively contribute to store operations, maintain a vibrant store environment, and work alongside your team to meet sales targets.

  • Pay rate: £13.45 per hour
  • Contract types: 8-hour and 16-hour part-time shifts (with opportunities to pick up extra hours)
  • Availability requirements: Available for a 4–8 hour shift on either Saturday or Sunday each week, plus one weekday shift
  • Position type: 12-week fixed term role

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by welcoming every community member with enthusiasm, ensuring they feel valued and inspired
    • Be a role model in product expertise, operational best practices, and brand representation
  • Train and share knowledge with the wider team in a supportive capacity
  • Assist in:
    • Stock management
    • Deliveries
    • Replenishment To ensure the store is always ready to serve customers and capitalise on sales opportunities
  • Ensure safety and well-being compliance via:
    • Health, safety, and loss prevention protocols for both customers and team members
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming retail space
  • Address customer needs quickly and efficiently for a seamless shopping experience
  • Contribute to continuous learning with feedback from product, systems, processes, customer journey, and community interactions
  • Embody Gymshark’s culture and values in every interaction, representing the brand while fostering an inclusive and positive community experience

Requirements

Essential

  • Retail customer service experience: Proven recent experience working in a fast-paced retail environment, engaging customers effectively and ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Product handling & stock management: Experience or willingness to contribute to inventory management, restocking, and maintaining product presentation standards
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to professionally address customer inquiries, complaints, and issues with clarity and efficiency
  • Adaptability: Comfortable adjusting to changing store needs, including customer traffic and seasonal demands or product launches
  • Attention to detail: Ensuring the store remains tidy, visually appealing, and prepared to meet customer needs
  • Team collaboration: Willingness to work alongside colleagues, support team goals, and deliver top-tier customer service
  • Clear communication: Friendly yet effective interactions with customers and teammates to build rapport and share product insights
  • Sales drive: Motivation to meet individual and team targets, contributing to store success
  • Positive attitude: Bringing passion, enthusiasm, and energy to every role-related interaction
  • Learning mindset: Willingness to deepen product knowledge, system familiarity, and understanding of the community

  • Personal commitment: Willingness to work flexible hours with February-May retail teams (weekends, bank holidays)
