Company Description
Telco Broadband and Beyond, through its subsidiary Telecontract, has been a key player in Zimbabwe’s telecommunications sector since 1991, initially supporting the national provider with the design, installation, and commissioning of telephone infrastructure. Over time, the company evolved into a licensed Internet Access Provider, expanding from data services to include voice and video offerings.
Telecontract has built extensive optical fibre infrastructure with Points of Presence (PoPs) across major cities and towns, enabling reliable, high-speed internet-based communication services.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mansfield. As a Sales & Business Development Executive, you will:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Manage the sales pipeline effectively
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate and residential customers
- Conduct market research and prospecting
- Qualify leads, prepare proposals and quotations
- Present tailored broadband and connectivity solutions
- Collaborate with technical and customer service teams for smooth client onboarding
- Support contract negotiations and monitor account performance

Daily responsibilities also include:
- Meeting defined sales targets
- Maintaining accurate sales records
- Participating in marketing and promotional activities
- Providing market trend and customer needs feedback to management
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in telecommunications, ICT, or related industries.
- Strong skills in:
- Prospecting and lead qualification
- Customer relationship management
- Negotiation
- Ability to explain technical concepts (e.g., broadband, fibre infrastructure, internet services) in simple, customer-friendly language.
- Solid analytical and research skills to assess:
- Market opportunities
- Competitor activities
- Customer requirements
- Effective verbal and written communication, including:
- Confident presentation delivery
- Strong proposal-writing experience
- A results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and working with performance metrics.
- Comfortable using CRM tools, office productivity software, and digital channels for sales outreach and reporting.
- Relevant diploma or degree in:
- Business
- Marketing
- Communications
- or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Maintain professional conduct with diverse stakeholders
- Adapt in a fast-changing environment
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client visits and business meetings where required.
