Zedcarz – Private Hire Minicab has been delivering trusted private hire and executive car services to businesses, organizations, and individuals for over three decades. From offices in Surbiton and Walton-on-Thames, the company operates a fleet of more than 200 vehicles, including saloons, MPVs, executive cars, and wedding cars. Around one-third of the fleet is hybrid, reflecting Zedcarz’s commitment to an evolving environmental policy. The business is built around understanding and meeting customer expectations on every journey, which is embodied in the Zedcarz promise of reliability, quality, and professional service.
Role Description
The Sales Business Development role is a full-time, on-site position based in Surbiton. This role focuses on:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Building relationships with corporate and individual clients
- Promoting Zedcarz’s private hire and executive services

Day-to-day tasks include:

- Generating and qualifying leads
- Conducting market research
- Arranging and attending client meetings
- Preparing tailored proposals
The role also involves:
- Maintaining regular communication with existing clients
- Supporting customer service teams to ensure a high-quality experience
- Tracking sales performance to meet agreed targets
Collaboration with operations and marketing is expected to align service offerings with customer needs and market trends.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional client relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in lead generation and business development, including prospecting and follow-up activities.
- Analytical skills and market research capabilities to identify new opportunities and understand local and regional market dynamics.
- Customer service skills, with a focus on client satisfaction, responsiveness, and problem-solving.
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, or service-based industries is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Surbiton, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with basic CRM tools and MS Office (or equivalent) for tracking leads, preparing reports, and creating presentations.
- Valid right to work in the UK and willingness to travel locally for client visits and business meetings.
