Sales Consultant (Power Retail / Bluewater Store) – Part-Time (12 hrs/week) | Fixed Term (13 Months)

About the Role
Join Molton Brown, a trusted luxury fragrance and skincare brand under Kao, as a Sales Consultant in our Bluewater store. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the face of the brand—delivering exceptional customer service, deep product expertise, and sensory-brand experiences that align with Molton Brown’s commitment to artisan craftsmanship, creativity, and sensory journeys.
You’ll create memorable customer experiences through personalized selling, including fragrance consultations and hand/arm massages, while also supporting day-to-day store operations such as stock management, inventory, cleaning, and replenishment.
Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Engagement:
- Provide immersive, high-touch customer service with confidence and authenticity
- Offer personalized fragrance advice, beauty consultations, and signature services (e.g., scented hand massages) to elevate the shopping journey
- Listen intently to customer needs, recommend targeted products, and deliver expert recommendations on Molton Brown’s curated offerings

Operational Excellence:
- Maintain a well-stocked, visually appealing workspace with minimal waste
- Prep products, ensure store tidiness, and assist with vendor deliveries/replenishment
- Track inventory and manage stock rotation to prevent wastage

Team Collaboration:
- Work seamlessly with store colleagues, adhering to team and business objectives
- Volunteer for additional training and fit-ups to explore opportunities for personal growth

Requirements

Essential:
- Proven success in customer-facing retail or hospitality roles (luxury or beauty preferred)
- Expressive communication skills—both oral and written—with a genuine passion for luxury and sensory experiences
- Strong attention to personal grooming and a high standard of appearance, reflecting Molton Brown’s premium brand identity
- Ability to build strong rapport quickly, showcasing confidence and professionalism
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic workload demands, manage priorities effectively, and meet selling targets

Nice to Have:
- Previous experience in beauty consultation, fragrance advising, or sensory product selling
- Knowledge of wider Kao/Molton Brown products beyond fragrances (e.g., shower gels, vegetal hand creams)
