About The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Consultant will play a key part in delivering regional sales performance and supporting the Company in achieving its overall profit and growth targets. This is a customer-facing, target-driven role requiring a proactive and commercially aware sales professional who is confident working independently while building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
The key responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Achieve sales targets in line with quarterly development and regional objectives
- Manage a personal sales pipeline, identifying opportunities and risks and escalating as required
- Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the home-buying journey
- Present house types, specifications, options, and incentives clearly and accurately
- Negotiate prices and incentives within agreed parameters
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM records from initial enquiry through to completion
- Progress sales through exchange and completion, liaising with solicitors, IFAs, estate agents, and surveyors
- Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service and achieve strong customer feedback scores
- Promote the Cala brand, including site, regional, and group strategy
- Understand and manage Part Exchange and relevant Government or internal incentives
- Interpret plans and technical drawings and deliver effective home demonstrations
- Build strong working relationships with site teams and support smooth customer handovers
- Work closely with Marketing to understand campaigns, trends, and target markets
- Complete required sales, site, and market reports accurately and compliantly
- Support the training and development of new sales team members
- Maintain show homes, sales areas, and stock plots to Cala presentation standards

About You
You will be a confident, customer-focused sales professional with a strong understanding of the new homes buying journey. You will balance commercial awareness with exceptional customer care, ensuring compliance, professionalism, and a positive brand experience at every stage.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Experience in a branded, target-driven sales environment (new homes, retail, hospitality, or similar)
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end sales process
- Confident use of CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements (e.g., Consumer Code, GDPR, AML)
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Strong customer service focus, including after-sales support
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and high customer satisfaction
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car
- Weekend working
Desirable:
- Previous new build homes sales experience
- Experience using specialist new homes sales systems
- Knowledge of mortgage products and affordability
- Experience of using Salesforce
