Sales Consultant – Vistry East Yorkshire (Knaresborough Site)
As our Sales Consultant, you’ll be the key point of contact for customers looking to purchase new build homes in our Knaresborough development. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service while managing the entire sales process—from initial enquiry to legal completion—while proactively meeting sales targets with professionalism and integrity.

About the Role
You’ll play a critical part in guiding buyers through their homebuying journey, ensuring a smooth, tailored, and positive experience from start to finish. Collaboration with our team—both in person and flexibly—is at the heart of this role, alongside a performance-driven commission structure that rewards success.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Experience
- Greet all visitors with warmth and professionalism, setting a positive first impression.
- Build strong relationships with prospective buyers by understanding their needs and offering personalised solutions.
- Deliver engaging home demonstrations and site tours.
- Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout each stage of their purchasing journey.
- Ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for every buyer.
Sales Process Management
- Handle leads from enquiry to reservation and legal completion.
- Conduct qualifying sales appointments and progress customers through the pipeline efficiently.
- Prepare and verify reservation documentation, ensuring compliance with company processes.
- Collaborate with solicitors, mortgage advisors, and other stakeholders to expedite sales.
- Proactively manage cancellations, retention, and sales recovery strategies.

Site & Administration Responsibilities
- Maintain the sales office, show homes, and marketing suite to the highest standard daily.
- Keep accurate records, CRM updates, and reporting aligned with business requirements.
- Work closely with site managers, construction teams, and customer care teams.
- Attend weekly build meetings to align sales with project progress.
- Strict compliance with Health & Safety policies and site procedures for visitors.
Performance & Targets
- Achieve monthly sales targets and company goals.
- Monitor market trends, competition, and local demand to inform strategies.
- Promote ancillary products (e.g., Part Exchange, Assisted Move, Smooth Move) where beneficial.
- Drive sales while maintaining exceptional ethical standards—this reflects Vistry’s commitment to responsible development.
About You
Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
- Strong background in customer service, preferably within a sales environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Confident negotiation and closing skills.
- High attention to detail and organisation.
- Team player with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekend availability (required).
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Must have a valid Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to company values: Integrity, Caring, and Quality.
Desirable Experience & Knowledge
- Experience in the new homes or property sector.
- Understanding of the residential conveyancing process.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 systems.
