Salary: Up to £28,000 • Full-time • On-site (Lancaster LA2 9JX)
We’re looking for a proactive, customer-focused Sales & Customer Service Administrator to join our team and support the smooth running of our sales operations. If you enjoy solving problems, keeping customers informed, and staying one step ahead in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.
You’ll manage customer orders from start to finish — handling enquiries, coordinating deliveries, resolving service issues, and ensuring every customer receives a professional, efficient experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Processing customer orders, quotations, and sales documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Responding to customer enquiries by phone and email with clear updates on orders, stock, and delivery schedules.
- Maintaining accurate CRM and Sage records.
- Coordinating deliveries and liaising with courier providers.
- Monitoring order progress and proactively communicating updates.
- Managing delivery issues, including raising and tracking courier claims.
- Supporting the sales team and helping maintain strong customer relationships.
- Prioritising workload and adapting to changing business needs.

What you’ll bring
- Experience in sales administration, customer service, or similar fast-paced roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and work accurately under pressure.
- Confidence with Microsoft Office and order processing systems.
- (Desirable) Experience in trade, wholesale, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution; Sage 200; CRM management; courier coordination; and handling escalations.
