Sales Development Executive
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 + commission
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (4:30pm finish on Fridays)
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in sales. You'll receive training and mentoring, gain valuable technical and product knowledge, and learn the business from the ground up.
With the support of a friendly, long-established team, you'll develop the skills and confidence needed to progress into an Area Sales Manager position, with increased earning potential through a higher salary and commission as your career develops. Responsibilities of a Sales Development Executive:
- This role starts within the Internal Sales team, where you'll gain a thorough understanding of the products, customers, and day-to-day operation of the business and you will transition organically into an Area Sales role as you learn.
- Handling customer enquiries by phone and email
- Sell products over the phone, via email, and over the counter
- Preparing quotations and processing orders
- Providing support to customers at the trade counter
- Building relationships with existing customers
- Learning about a wide range of industrial and engineering products
- Working closely with internal departments including warehouse and assembly
- Developing your technical knowledge through ongoing training
- As your knowledge develops, the role will go on to external face-to-face visits and account management, selling the products to your customers you have built strong relationships with and identify new business opportunities.

Requirements of a Sales Development Executive:
- Must have some experience within sales
- Is confident communicating with customers
- Is organised, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
- Enjoys building relationships
- Has good IT skills
- Wants to develop a long-term career rather than just finding their next job
