Location: Aspect House, Blantrye (Hybrid) Salary: From £66,000, up to 20% bonus, car allowance, private family medical cover + excellent benefits
About the Role
We’re looking for a Sales Development Manager to join our Customer Business Sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver sales strategies for new products and propositions across multiple channels, including digital, telesales, and face-to-face.
In this role, you’ll:
- Drive growth and improve customer acquisition.
- Help ScottishPower deliver innovative solutions that create long-term value for both customers and the business.
- Lead the success of new propositions from concept through to operational delivery.
- Influence senior stakeholders, develop strategic partnerships, and contribute to the company’s growth ambitions.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Customer Insight, and wider Customer Business teams.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Growth
- Support the development and delivery of sales strategies to drive ambitious growth targets.
- Work with stakeholders to launch new products and propositions, ensuring sustainable sales processes, controls, and customer journeys.
Campaign & Operations Leadership
- Collaborate on campaign planning, mobilisation, and implementation to equip sales channels for strong commercial performance.
- Act as the primary sales lead for integrating new propositions into core sales operations.
- Provide critical insights, recommendations, and performance updates to senior management.

Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyse sales performance, pipeline activity, and conversion data to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop reporting and performance measures for sustainable growth.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
- Build strong relationships with partners and external stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to enhance customer value and profitability.
Requirements
We’re looking for a commercially minded sales professional with:
- Strong sales, commercial, and business development experience, with a proven track record.
- Experience in delivering high-performing campaigns and driving growth.
- Excellent analytical skills, including data interpretation and predicting trends.
- Ability to influence and present to senior stakeholders (internally and externally).
- Project management expertise (ability to manage multiple initiatives efficiently).
- Familiarity with customer acquisition, sales pipelines, and engagement strategies.
- An interest in utilities, emerging technologies, or related sectors is advantageous.
- Ideally, experience working with outsourced partners or contact centres.
