Business Development Representative | Enterprise Greentech SaaS | London

Salary: £40,000 to 45,000 base + GBP 20,000 OTE

Location: Central London (hybrid, 2 days per week in office)

About Our Client

Our client is an enterprise SaaS platform that helps businesses collect, manage, and act on their Greentech and corporate responsibility data. Hundreds of companies are currently using the platform, with deal values running from USD 30,000 to USD 100,000+ ACV and sales cycles of 4 to 12 months.

The platform has recently evolved beyond data collection and reporting into action and scrutiny, with new AI integrations that are opening doors at the executive level. The team is founder-led, commercially focused, and based in a central London office.

What You Will Actually Be Doing

This is a front-line outbound role. You will be the first commercial conversation our client has with a potential customer, and quality matters more than volume here. The team wants research-led, targeted outreach, not spray and pray.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Identifying and prioritising target accounts across private equity, fund managers, and corporate Greentech leaders
  • Running personalised outbound across email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage CFOs, heads of corporate responsibility, and senior decision makers
  • Qualifying prospects and handing over well-briefed, genuinely warm opportunities to the Account Executive team
  • Attending industry events, executive breakfasts, and dinners to build in-person relationships and surface new pipeline
  • Working closely with an experienced sales manager and AE team who will back you with product knowledge and market expertise

Where This Goes

Our client has a live and active BDR to AE pathway. The existing BDR on the team is already joining customer calls, shadowing AEs, and recently ran a live product demo as part of his own development. That is the intent here, not just something on paper.

What We Are Looking For

We are not prescriptive about background. The profile that fits is:

  • 1 to 3 years in a sales or customer-facing role where you were comfortable picking up the phone and speaking to senior people
  • A research-led mindset: you think before you reach out, and you personalise your approach
  • Smart, coachable, and motivated to be in sales for the right reasons: ambition and curiosity matter more than a textbook SaaS background
  • Willing to travel for events and in-person networking: this is part of the role and part of the AE pathway
  • Organised and persistent enough to run long outbound campaigns without losing momentum or quality
